Some immigrant U.S. Army reservists and recruits who enlisted in the military with a promised path to citizenship are being abruptly discharged, the Associated Press has learned.
The Dallas sniper had been sent home from Afghanistan after being accused of sexually harassing a female, and was described as a loner who followed black militant groups on social media.
The Army said Friday that a suspect in the Dallas shooting served in the Army Reserve for six years and did a nine-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.
